I don't think of the bottom as dependent on reaching a certain level, such as saying the Dow will bottom at 8000 or the NASDAQ at 1000. Rather, I think of the bottom in terms of time. I think the bottom will be reached during the middle of the 2nd quarter reporting season, when we will see (?) that most companies are making reasonable profits and most companies give forward guidance to the effect that things are turning around. Call me an optimist....
