I remember in the fall of 98, in the Asian and Russian currency crisis, and the LTCM fiasco, someone posted on SI something like, "I can't believe this, I wish I had more money to buy."
I don't remember who it was, probably would have to dig a lot to find the post, I think it was on the TJ thread.
I didn't understand the post at the time, I thought that person was nuts. Then the Nasdaq proceeded to go from about 1400 to 5100 in a year and a half.
When I think back to that, that person must have known something.
