thanks, Haim... euro consolidates for July
that sounds about right with my expectorations also
real tough issue on euro upside potential
if more dollar abandonment (as I expect), where will currency flight go to?
my suspicion is for a "hotpotato effect"
first into euros, then later dunno where
probably into gold, after coming back briefly into dollars
I really expect capital to get frustrated, not knowing where it can hide during a worldwide deflationary episode

capital will struggle with indecision
I expect USTBonds to experience outflows within months

a response suggested the C$ and A$ could be good places
this is my view also
Canada now has a bustling little economy
they are benefitting from both oil/gas and mineral mining
I suspect far more from energy patch activity
and Canada is running a surplus now on current account

I read that during 2001 the US bought $23B worth of energy property from Canada in total

the big question in my mind is whether Canada and Australia will capitalize (take advantage) of their mineral wealth in such a way as to fortify their currency and federal debts

you still dont see evidence of dollar carry trade?
wow, it is very much implied
altho hard evidence is not easily found
thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated
