This is a moderated thread. Even the moderately intelligent can see this. Perhaps the moderate form of moderation that is often utilized just got Ray all wound up. Unfortunately subtly in the face of antagonism often just makes for more antagonism. Somewhere in my lost youth I discovered that if you are standing at a bar with a bunch of guys who are just waiting to kick your ass.....the best thing to do is act like you are alone. Echarters, of SI fame, made the fanatical poster a legend, yet he would almost always just reply to posts--the only threads he was 'active' on were threads where people actually bothered to argue with him. Ray has a lot of very admirable ideas, and he is certainly devoted to them; but that does not mean anyone has to stand around and read as he beats the words into the ground with this fists time after time, or becomes personal. No thread can be destroyed, it just becomes harder to read. Ignores and just hitting 'Next' takes care of most of it. Why scream at someone when you can ignore them or bypass the post. Receiving no responses on a hot knarly insulting message is the moderately moderated thread answer. Everyone is welcome..but that doesn't mean you are going to be listened to, or anyone cares what you have to say. To misquote the LA King " Why can't we all just learn how not to get along?' I've enjoyed bantering with Ray, I have great respect for the thread and Not Morgan. I hope we can keep this together as we go through these changes. Yorikke
