President Bush has once again offered the Palestinians the opportunity for their own state, contingent on two simple prerequisites. 1. Elect new leadership 2. Cease terrorism These two eminently reasonable requests have caused great wailing and gnashing of teeth, and will no doubt become the excuse for yet another "Palestinian" failure to take control of their own destiny. I forgot what was the Palestinian excuse two years ago, when Israel offered them all of Gaza, half of Jerusalem, and 92% of the West Bank. The bottom line is that the Palestinians are lead by people who are more interested in killing Jews than they are in establishing Democracy and self-rule for their own people.
