I had a wolf hybrid and he was sweet for the most part. He showed some aggression as a 5 lb puppy when I came close to his feed dish and his hair would stand on end and growl.
This was of course a normal trait for a wolf and he was soon cured of this behavior by being picked up constantly while eating and being hand fed.

As a 120 lb. dog/wolf he was a great guard dog because he never wagged his tail like a dog and had no aggression towards people. He had an annoying habit of digging huge pits all over the place and some creepy habits when it came to cats.

Wolves are shy and if beaten can be turned into animals that will attack on no provocation and for the most part people who buy and breed hybrids encourage this type of behavior hence the bad rap.
