I yield to your figures: $20B in Afghan, Islamic costs
once again, I get out of my field of more reliable knowledge
please keep this thread informed on accurate numbers
thanks
I see someone knocks you with charges of claptrap
so be it

the predominant fed deficit forces are slowing economy, layoffs, failed companies, lost asset capital gains
payroll tax withholdings and lost stock capgains are big
wait until interest costs rise with higher bond yields
round #2 will see foreigners selling USTBonds
which will result in higher interest costs

some big replenishment of military forces is necessary
the neglect from Clinton era is astonishing
I met a retired NC Army consultant in Florida in 2000
he talked of endless lack of needed supplies, cannibalization of helicopters, non-replaced aircraft, poor army base living quarters
some of this must be fixed with fresh funding
dunno how much funding is required
but whatever, the costs contribute to fed deficits

I believe the airport security costs also add up
both detector equipment and air marshalls
everywhere you turn, federal costs rise for anti-terrorist measures

take care, keep the right numbers coming
much appreciated
glad no flames from you coming my way
I am a very sensitive guy with a pea-sized ego
sure could use a nice fat federal economic research grant
