Geez! Spin, Spin, Spin! There are people sitting in prison today for stealing food and here is Bush's communication director defending Bush's lies with this defense.. ""To compare a $12 million sale of a subsidiary company by Harken to a deliberate attempt to hide $3.8 billion in losses is ridiculous," said White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett." Okay! Director Dan. If it had been $12,000,001 would that have been a crime on Bush's part. Well today with inflation,lets make that $12,000,005.99.. Dan, the issue wasn't the dollar amount of the sale...it was the fact that BUSH and Harken executives broke the LAW. Damn! For all you bank robbers out that, the next time you rob a bank, don't steal more than $12M....if you stay within the Shrub limits, they won't send you to jail.
