I can assure you that all the JW parents in our school know it well -- we have a large JW community. The schools may not publicize the right, but it's there for those who want it.

And it doesn't take a whole lot of courage, I think, for a child to recite the rest of the pledge and just leave out the words "under God" if they want to.

The thing, I think, is that most kids really don't care. It's the parents who care.
