I have never seen such pc math instruction. It was not the way my credential program taught us to teach math. In California as in many states we now have STANDARDS and BENCHMARKS. These are non-pc metrics that are tested by the standardized tests which are given to children. They do not cover PC areas, so PC areas are not likely to be stressed on them. I am most familiar withe the second and third grade tests, which cover math and English. I think teachers may stress these subjects to the exclusion of other areas (like social studies) because the teachers (logically) want their students to do well on the tests.

There is very little freedom to teach that all answers are "ok" when you are giving standardized tests, that will determine to some extent how much money your school will get.

Many people who know nothing about the schools spread silly anecdotal stories that have no general applicability. I think my young students are probably not getting any history, because the benchmarks for them, set by the legislature, are in reading and math. Not because of PC stuff.

I'm sure for ever child taught that meat was morally wrong you've got 10 teachers trying to slip their Christian religion into the classroom (in fact I'd bet it is even more than that). Why would I make such a bet? Sheer numbers and the fact that so many Christians are apostolic. I doubt there are that many apostolic vegetarians.
