Scumbria re: Unfortunately the Americans have not done particularly well either. Within one month of Sept. 11, President Bush endorsed a Palestinian state- which sent a clear and unambiguous message that terrorism is an effective tool against this administration. that is very true, I was frustrated for a long time with Bush's inconsistent policies: Bush announced war against terrorism all over the world and then gave an exception to terrorists in the middle-east. He also announced Al-Qa'ida as a primary targeted terrorists organization and then in order to please Pakistan he announced that the branch of Al-Qa'ida that conducts terrorists acts in Russia are not terrorists but freedom fighters. It seems that there are changes in the right direction though; Bush called for change in PA leadership, Russia is our new partner in fight against terrorism including terrorism in chechnya and Russia might even join NATO and Bush seemed to be completely fine with the Israeli's decisions not to give in to any demands coming from arabs. -Albert
