(AP) A 29-year-old Winsted woman, accused of dressing up like a boy to seduce a 15-year-old girl, has been sentenced to a year in prison. Franchesca Romaniello was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to a charge of risk of injury to a minor. Romaniello was accused of posing as a 16-year-old boy to entice the girl into a sexual relationship last summer, according to court documents. Romaniello was originally charged with sexual assault, but the charge was reduced as part of a plea bargain. Judge Alexandra DiPentima sentenced Romaniello to one year in prison and 10 years of probation. As a condition of probation, Romaniello is not to have any contact with the girl involved in the case nor have unsupervised contact with minors.
