Only that people who mistakenly bought early ('31) were handsomely rewarded if they held 5 years, though '33 was a better time to buy.

That people who fail to look forward based on the rant that it took xx years to recover from the peak in '29 are making the same error that the people who chanted "LTBH/10% annual returns/Stocks in the long run are best" made when using a decade of bull as the basis for their beliefs. The chant now is 'cash has outperformed over the past 55 months'.

That said, as I mentioned elsewhere, the future is uncertain at the moment, and most certainly won't follow the '29 script exactly.
