The Sarbanes bill would go some distance toward making stock options appear on the balance sheet. That they are not there is a complete fraud, perpetrated by the high tech industry.

I like the way Warren Buffett thinks about the matter. He views stock options as being a "capricious" reward. He's adamant that they are an expense and ought to be accounted for as such. I agree.
