Albert,

Respectfully, I disagree with your version of the official history. What you are saying doesn't vary much at all from what I was taught in high school history.

And as we both know, high school history is written by history's winners for their own benefit, and with appropriate deletions to the record.

I've merely inserted some of the deletions you fail to accept as reality. Your choice.

Re: The negotiation position of US in Europe was not affected by A bomb, learn your history

Huh? I never said it was. The difficulty with the USSR once they entered the Pacific War was the disposition of Manchuria, Korea, and other Japanese-occupied areas. The Ruskies would have demanded "their fair half", and we weren't about to share. :)

Re: you are very confused man, ending the war earlier saved a lot of lives in US, Japan and Russia.

I believe it is you who are confused. There would have been no lives lost on USSR territory because the Japanese could have never mounted an offensive there. Then there were all those casualties in Hiroshima and Nagasaki you have conveniently forgotten about. I will grant you that U.S. casualty counts were lowered by dropping the big ones.

All the best, Ray
