Hello Maurice, <<I'm one who still has a stack of US$ ... Uncle Al ... confidence ... QUALCOMM and Irwin Jacobs ... confidence ... New Zealand>>

We will look back on this post one day, presumably a sun shiny day, when the grass is extra green, and cicadas intensely melodic, and wonder, ‘why did Maurice do it that way?’.

[EDIT: I received some observations via PM, and use parts of it here. I am sworn to secrecy on identity of PMer, and will uphold the code of PM]

"Perhaps the Kiwis, being too much exposed to the animals, are evolving into some kind of hybrid that liked to be sheared too!

Who, knowing how transitory technology is, would be betting everything on one single technology, in a company run by one guy who isn't exactly brilliant in running it and cashing in on the patents ...?

I think only someone who wants to be sheared."

Of course there are honest companies in the U.S. Just none that King George supports.

<Not all USA management is out to rob investors blind.>

Agree, it is easier with pension funds and the older population.

Luckily I guess it will take another 4-6 years to once again try to hand over the SS-monies
to the Enrons,Andersens,GlobalComs and Crockings..

But I'm sure it will come up again, like a clockwork, just as 2-party systems switch
between the two parties, hopefully also like a clockwork (to avoid becoming a 1-party system)

basic rule, try to stay close to the real source of money, o the siphone gets too long.??

Hi Maurice, <<It's odd that people don't understand ... make decisions ... according to what we think will do best for us>>

Message 17699416

"The problem with trend is that, once in place, difficult to twist around:0("

So many discount rate cuts, plenty of frauds, copious quantities of scoundrels, and yet, so much hope remains, until twisted into fear, as is happening now, slowly, but happening. No, I am not talking about Zimbabwe.

Maurice, you must try to think as the crowds do, but in anticipation of how they will think, and do accordingly, now, so as to meet them head-on, later, when they think as you figured they would.

Game theory 101.
