buddy of mine got masters from a Tx university in history, but only a bits avail. from those sources. I've found value from Tx. Ranger records & surpassingly both this & a few entries about early Turkish-American history as they were often intercity traders in the American west & Republic of Tx took in much of what is now NM OK + bit of what is now CO & KS and each Ranger had a large territory. Most valuable, of course, are L.D.S. genealogy records in S.L.C. Last on list are small town libraries(newspapers) & city / county records births deaths land tax receipts.
