Point of the work is to take the spin out of history & let truths of American history lie where they will. Many would like to say Islam is new to our nation & somehow Moslems don't belong. I know good & damned well of many that proudly served. Problem is US military records are of near no value as Military didn't list Islam as religion until just prior to major Nam push late Korean conflict's era. Somewere I've got link to picture(and saved to disk somewhere here) of Turkish-American civil war company in union uniform's with fez head dress.

Another bias is that Republic of Texas was anti-Hispanic because they went to war against Mexico but entire company(s) were Hispanic mostly Hispanic & or Hispanic led. There is a crossing here because of old racial term "moor" which was at times applied to those of Middle Eastern extraction, some Hispanic anglo mixed & black anglo. I've seen other records that showed at least more than some question as to race of sirnames on Republic of Tx military rolls Aikins Atkinson, Autry,Bartlett(Bartlet),Barnett(Burnett), Bazajon,Bettinger(Battinger), Conix, Cottle,Curvier,Curville Harman(Harmon?)and more but running short of time now.
