As someone who used to be able to consume mass quantities, I am truly amazed at that Japanese dude winning the contest again this year. 14-minutes was the time, not 12, to consume 50.5 hot dogs and buns.

He went from 113-lbs. before the contest to 129-lbs. after the contest. He gained over a pound a minute!

In my prime, I could probably have consumed half that amount in maybe twice the time. That's why I'm truly amazed.

I also out-ate a guy about twice my size one time. When I was 14 I ate 1-1/2 18" supreme pizzas to out-eat a really big kid (that's like 2-1/2 large pizza hut or papa john's pizzas). Usually when I ordered pizza for lunch back then, I'd order two medium pan pizzas from Pizza Hut. That usually was enough for lunch.

I always noticed that skinny people usually out-ate the big people. I think it's because we know there's more of a science to it. Example - Dont Drink any Liquid if you want to consume mass quantities, especially stuff with buns. It makes the bread expand in your stomach. Also, don't chew too much. That's why your stomach is filled with hydrochloric acid - to do that for you <G>.
