"Collect all the data possible to see where it leads" Having sailed for a number of years I have thought of it as, check the weather forecast(that would be news etc,which is about as reliable as a weather forecast, but check it just the same), check the wind and set your sail accordingly. some days are spinnaker days, some are tacking days, some are stay in harbor days.
