What is the particular name, then, for the Christian god?

Depends on which of the Christian religions you ask.

There are many different names used by different sects. God is, of course, a relative (historically speaking) modern English term and only a translation of the names which the authors of the Bible and the establishers of the Judaic and Christian religions used.
