Seriously, though, a count that ends either at the end of a wave up OR allows for a gap up continuation Monday makes a lot of sense here. It's not that I think last week's selling was all "fear of terrorism" related, but should we get to Monday with no incident (which we all fervently hope, I know), then there will be that relief buying PLUS the "bottom is in!" optimism as well. It has potent combination potential.

I should also note that I thought OEX max pain of 500 would take longer to approach. Should we gap up meaningfully on Monday, the QQQs et al would probably reach max pain. Admittedly, it'll still be 10 trading days away from expiry, so it might be meaningless, but it might be worth nothing that August max pain on the QQQs was also 27, not substantially higher.
