What will Americans do when they find out they were lied to by their government, not just Enron, etc.? Nothing because the end justifies the means, especially when Americans have saved NOTHING and almost all will be counting on the government for retirement.

When governments get into financial trouble, they start WARS. Don't be surprised to see a plan not only to take IRAQ but to steal the oil to "pay down the national debt".

Count me in the bear camp, but realizing bear mkt rallies can be sharp and very fast;needing to keep hope alive.
Still waiting for gold to come in!

Anyone know where Warren Buffett took delivery of his silver? Have been able to determine it was out of US, but only that.

OT OT Justice, SEC style:

Early one foggy morning in the District, Neil Cavuto
and Harvey Pitt were out for burgers. They happened upon
an old man and a thug; the old man was handing
over his wallet, and the wallet was fatter than
Harvey, himself!

The thug turned to run, but the old man extended
his leg, and tripped the thug, who hit the sidewalk
hard.

Harvey was indignant at these events. While Neil
helped the thug up, Harvey jumped like a cat onto
the old gentleman, and pummeled him unmercifully; then
sat on him for good measure.

Neil called in the TV folks, and interviewed Harvey
about how he had foiled the old man's assault on the thug.
Needless to say, the mugger skated outta there,
freer than Kenneth Lay! And that old gentleman
rots in prison, to this very day, for his violent
attack on the wealthy mugger.

(These pretty much summarizes my observations
about the SEC - just my opinion!)
Best,
SAF
