we've all been there - some of us are still there, lol - the single biggest impact on my bottom line was getting in the habit of having a firm exit strategy if the trade goes bad. once i did that - and STUCK to that - the rest of the discipline of trading somehow started falling in place naturally.

zeev couldn't be more right: capital preservation is Job 1. leaving some money on the table by taking profits early is far, far better than leaving ALL the money on the table by letting losses run.
