The strip mines in West-central Illinois that have been reclaimed have changed the poor producing mono culture grain fields into some of the best habitat for wildlife in the US. <<Is there some reason you think we should not work toward developing energy solutions that are cleaner than coal will ever be?>> Nothing againt that at all. I really hoped nuclear would have worked out better like it has in France. BTW, I use ethanol in my Jeep, burns cleaner, renewable from corn and replaces 10% of the oil in a gallon of gas.
