I did not say that Ted Williams was disliked or unpopular.

Ted Williams was great - I agree... but he was NOT and NEVER will be loved in Boston as Bobby Orr is ...

Ted Williams was for Ted Williams - he constantly told anyone that would listen that he was the greatest hitter of all time (and maybe he was) ... TW had all the great statistics with one exception - he won no championships ...

... Ted Williams was great AND arrogant, while Bobby Orr was great AND humble ... Orr brought two championships to Boston ... Ted Williams bragged, spit at the fans and fought with the press ... TW constantly flew his own flag while Orr won championships and gave the credit to others ...
