<<...about the manipulation of the stock market over the past week/10 days.>>

First, there is usually light trading and wide swings around holidays.

But, in this case, investors were selling early fearing a 9/11 on 7/4. Nothing happened so confidence returned on 7/5 and investors were buying.

bia,

Re: CNBC/WSJ - And, WHY ARE THEY ON TV?

Propaganda. Pure and simple.

Same thing last night on the "Charlie Rose" show on PBS. Rose was indisposed, so William F. Buckley brought a passel of Right Wing Extremists on the show to talk about values in America.

Among them was the infamous George Gilder, no stranger to the propadanda machine at the WSJ. Gilder, remarkably declared that WorldCon's problems were due government interference in Bernie Ebbers' attempt to buy Sprint!!
That one was so over the top that even Buckley had to chastise him over the air, mentioning the little $3.8 Billion fraud that WCON just perpetrated. Gilder was blase about the correction, sticking by his BIG LIE. So typically Republican!

Re: Blatant Market Manipulation -

I'll see what I can pull together. I've address this question on a couple of "market laboratory" threads and the silence I've received is deafening.
