<< Tell them there is God. But I won't. I just can't. >>

epsteinbd,

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think the biggest difference between us is that you are looking at religions and their affects on the world. You see the damage done in the name of god and conclude that the world would be better off without such thoughts.

In contrast, I ask, "How did we get here?" Either this whole universe happened by chance, or Someone created it all. I have studied evolution and found the theory to be sorely lacking. Science over the past hundred years has failed to support Darwin's theory and has created many problems for it. To me, the only logical conclusion is that there is a God.

If there is a God who created the universe and all life, then He must be amazingly intelligent and powerful beyond human comprehension. If He created us, it is logical that He would try to communicate with us. Why was I born? What is the purpose of life? The Bible, unlike any other belief system ever known to man, has satisfactory answers to these questions. In the Old Testament, the Bible promises a Savior and the New Testament is full of eyewitness accounts of God becoming man and dying for our sins. There are many infallible proofs that the Bible is true.

The issue is not who believes what and how did they come to believe what they believe. The issue is simply "what is true?"

You need not reply, but I would encourage you some time in your life to honestly seek answers to the above questions. An honest search and analysis of the evidence will lead to the conviction that the Bible is true and that Jesus is the Living God. Then next step is to repent of your sins and to obey the True and Living God.

Most people will never give the Bible honest consideration because they don't want it to be true. They don't want to be accountable to their Creator. Unfortunately, that doesn't change what is true.

I pray that you will find the Truth.

Ken
