Roger Ailes, a very partisan GOP operative is in charge of CNN today, and the role of the station is largely to provide propaganda. Supporting every right-wing dictator and two-bit brasshat that is willing to do the bidding of U.S. corporate banking interests across many nations around the globe. The rhetoric about "democracy" rings pretty hollow in the face of the actual record of who the U.S. has supported over the past 50 years overseas. If anything, true democrats, like Hugo Chavez and Salvadore Allende appear at great risk of having a CIA bullet in the back of their head. -Ray

Hi, Jay and the rest - so "Heil myself" as well, as Mel Brooks' Hilter greeted the crowds - re Abracadabra. I think we should all work more on it, because it will be the recovery trigger. I would first of all discount the whole idea to a sort of a mother's helper. It will not be the God sailing down to the troubled mankind - deus ex machina - and everybody will live happily hereafter. Possibly "the enabling technology" for the new order - whereas new order sends showers down my spinal chord. We had enough of that here in Europe. Actually we owe the world help in making sure these kinds of new orders dont happen ever again. Of course they will (sigh). My bet is that Abracadabra will capitalize on the communication infrastructure, on all the dark bandwidth that's been put in place.
