I couldn't stand Clinton because he appeared to be one thing when he was actually another. That includes his taking Republican ideas for his own. I couldn't stand Clinton, but it was more a personal issue than a political one. Whether people care to admit it or not, a person cannot be elected president in this country if they stray too far from the middle, liberal or conservative. The presidency is not a dictatorship. Political power shifts back and forth between the parties and the country continues regardless of what alarmists might say.
