thanks, QCo, telecom debt has been the most recent disaster
I recall this spring that many experts had been migrating slowly back into telecom junk bond debt
looking for that hefty yield
now many of them are getting their nuts cut off
while telecom stocks are imploding, only now are their associated debts getting killed
in 2001 those debts took hits, but now dead & gonzo

a pretty good Business Week article on telecoms
WorldCom and a few others are creating a "sewer drain" effect for their business partners
the result is that many others will probably go bankrupt
but in 12-18 months, the only telecoms standing might well be the BabyBells
this could be inflationary later with no competition
the dissolution of MaBell has accomplished nothing
it spawned numerous giant BabyBell monsters who will survive
this country cannot do much right in Big Business !!!

didnt know USGovt was standing aside from GSA's
I was only aware that...
THEY CANNOT TOLERATE HIGHER MORTGAGE RATES, BEING NOT AT ALL HEDGED, AND WILL GO BANKRUPT IN MAGNIFICENT STYLE
thanks
