some good points, but some major assumptions, IMHO. I think his general thesis is correct about US Hegemony is waning, but cultural, militarily and economicly there is no replacement. I also believe the US will not have such a tough time in IRAQ. If we do, then it will be bad image wise. Without air power, and with the sophistication of our bombs etc I doubt Iraqi in an open Desert situation will be much trouble. Last I checked Turkey was on the verge of bankruptcy and a member of NATO so they have a staging ground if need be.
