When Clinton was Commander-In-Chief, he attempted to end a ritual that Reagan had started. What Reagan did, for the camera, was to salute the Praetorian Guards, (his Marine escort) as he entered and exited Marine One, the Presidential helicopter. Clinton felt that this ritual wasn't appropriate in a time of peace.

The Marines told Clinton in no uncertain terms that he was to continue to pay obeisance and salute the Guard. Clinton conformed to their demands.

Now, about this Commander-In-Chief myth....tell me more about your fantasies...
