Allen, >Just my opinion but we may be in for a true secular bear market and recent historical precedents may not hold. <

After reading Dent;s, 'Roaring 2000 Investors," my concern is if we are to go into a true secular bear market as you have specified then we very well may continuei n a down turn for far more than 10 years since the baby booms will be retiriing in mass around 2009.

Can our country sustain such a downturn. What would happen to to technology, biogenetics and our future.

Guess I have difficulty in accepting such a economic downturn with all the scientific and technological advances. Maybe some engineers and scientist on this site can make us more aware of the future. I constantly read, "Wired," "Technology Review," "The futurist," and other cutting edge publications regarding drug, medical and other advancements..

just my opinions.

Reactions?
