if it is true over the long run that previously identified Gorillas still have the earning power they did, just with a bite taken out of it for the current period, doesn't it seem like some of the current basement prices would have to be cheap?

No. That's the same marketing logic used by shoe stores.

What if they still have the same earning power they always had, and that due to some manic forces the price went up by factor 10 above what it should have been. And since then has dropped back by 70%. Does the price being three times what it should have been make it cheap, even though 30% is a basement price in comparison to peak?
