That is certainly possible. Everything could gets crushed in the initial downward, blow. When people begin to think, "What if I lose everything?", "I have to get my money to cash.", "There is nothing safe.", it may take a little while for gold to begin the upward march. Let's hope we can get in near the sweet spot.
