I had the best sushi ever in a little place in Sausalito. We spent hours there two days in a row. The friend I was with went back a couple of years later and it was gone. That kamikaze roll is what I remember of Sausalito.

My younger brother once returned from college and declared himself a vegetarian. We were staying at the house of my grandparents, and my grandmother, an excellent cook in the traditional mode, put his newfound conviction to a sore test. After about a week she emerged from the kitchen and announced "I finally got that boy to eat a Christian breakfast". There he was, plowing into the bacon and sausage. My grandfather has eaten a "Christian breakfast" every day for the past 94 years, and shows no sign of having suffered for it....
