Jim, The dollar rising during the 1990s while there was a huge trade deficit even back then (as I understand it).
That is something to think about.

How was this dollar bubble supported..everyone in the world wanted Dollars....just as everyone wanted to be the Nasdaq in March 2000.

Central bank reserves are over concentrated in dollars....no more "asian contageon" is what they ALL were thinking about. They never wanted that to happen and took precautions by loading up on the dollar.

The sudden drop this evening might just be a sign of nervousness among some with huge dollar positions.

Something is up!
...just a like the tail end of the bull market days.
It has really nothing to do with what is the fair value of currencies...Haim had point out last week Euro was at fair value...so what!
Bubble...that is what it is all about.
I think we went through the early stages of the dollar correction with lots more to come. I prefer a bit of a rally against the Euro..to get Euro to about .96
