pezz, My own favored solution is pure capitalism. Require all prospective mothers to purchase a surety bond providing a guarantee against all expense to society or incarceration of their spawn up to the age of 19. The insurance companies would rake in billions. It could be set up as an annuity to provide a college fund for the lucky buggers who didn't screw up. And those moms who failed to comply? Well, let's just say that in this fantasy scenario, abortion wouldn't be optional, it would be mandatory. Time for the human race to get serious about what a weedy species we are. Looking at the exponential growth rates of the human population looks like nothing so much as a chart of the growth of cancers.
