God tells Jacob that his seed will "bless" all the families of Earth. How so? Jacob marries Leah, but then divides his time between leah and her sister. God blesses leah and she has four kids. But Rachel can't have any so Jacob gives his seed to the maid (Bilhah) who has a son. Then Jacob gives his seed to the maid again, and she has another son.
Next Jacob goes into another maid by the name of Zilpah: Two more sons!! How do you like that?!
So Jacob's twelve sons are blessed to father the 12 tribes of Israel! And guess what?! One of the boys (Reuben) gets a little more incest in by sleeping with dad's concubine wife, Bilhah the maid!
The most important events in the bible (beginning with Adam and Eve and their kids, continuing with Abraham and Lot, Jacob and many others)--all associated with incest, and a great number of other strange and wonderful acts.
