Compounding the problem is that now, since the demise of Arthur Andersen, those same people are taking the accountants' function upon themselves.

you have a problem when four major companies cannot come to terms on proper accounting procedures... Two companies report the co pay as revenue and two ignore it ..... This is more than reading financial statements.

It has to do with accepted accounting procedures.imo. who signed off on these financials.
