Farm raised catfish are raised in very clean water. Remember the farmer is taking good care of them as they are his income.

Fish in lakes and rivers are exposed to chemicals and retain them. Farm chemicals mainly.

Then again I remember a lake 200 miles into Canada. Not a farm within 100 miles and not a town within 50 miles. There was a natural seam of Mercury in the lake bottom. The fish were highly contaminated.
