This is pretty much the only place I have ever posted. I know some people have mentioned another site, but I don't remember the name.
Would be a shame to see this go away, but I don't think it will. It has a good audience, so somebody is bound to pick it up. Given Infospace's problems, they'd probably sell this pretty cheap to a site like ETrade or Ameritrade/Datek.
I understand the old Raging Bull site (lol...fine irony there) was pretty good, but I never went there.

Unfortunately, not really. Yahoo is crammed with "clowns". Short term traders who think they can alter the market for a few minutes to scalp an eighth, by posting meaningless incessant garbage, on most of the threads.

Motley Fool, has grandfathered the young punks so that even though it now costs money, it is far from SI, and about half those punks are more concerned with political correctness or ego, rather than informative posts.

SI Bobs new site has been a failure for four years, he has about 35 posters.

Raging bull is so screwed up that I dont think it works anymore, and even when it did, it was 90% pump and 2% "look what I found on SI"

SI is the salvation, SI is the center of the universe, SI is the Kunta Kinte of BBS's. If it fails, Ah jess don know what ah would do, Scarlett.

This is a "just in case" question. If SI does disappear, is there any other messageboard forum in use by you regulars here that is closer to this in style and usage than the Yahoo subject board? It is a wasteland. L

I have this site as a backup
suite101.com
many readers but few posters.
Part of a larger site with 500-1000 daily visitors
suite101.com
Not as well organized as SI but it will probably merge with delphi eventually (guessing from what I have been told)

MarketSwing-- it is free but monitored. Little BS and heavy into TA and trading.
