If I remember it correctly, MSFT was also a seed investor in Level 3. Have they pulled the plug or are still there holding like J6P. I know for sure that global IP networks are tough to build and bring it a level of 100 % reliability. So even WCOM IP backbone has a lot of value. Buffet's investment indicates after all he does believe in internet. Imagine the things you can do over internet. Innovation, that works and improves people's quality of life always find it's way.
