Did you see Besieged by Bertolucci? I thought that was incredible. I own little Buddha- but not for the crummy present day story- Keanu as Buddha in the mythic portions (when the story book comes alive) is fantastic. My children love to see those sections of the movie. The acting in the "modern" parts of the story was very bad- except for the monks, they were good. I've always thought one of the worst pictures Bertolucci did was The Sheltering Sky, did you see that? I found it boring and pointless, as well as repellent at times.
