If 300k is a starter home then it's pretty sad. All these tax breaks to promote homeownership and it just seems to widen the gap between the haves and have nots...
But the possible ramifications of a bubble are much more ominous, IMHO.

People do need a place to live. OTOH, the rush in is exacerbated by panic buying.
