TMan, the Fed is a very strange financial entity
they operate much the same way as Enron
they make assets out of thin air
they are called US Treasury Bonds
then those bonds are declared as assets
they only hold gold, dont own it
the gold in their possession belongs to bullion bankers, to foreign large banks, to foreign central banks
but they facilitate in the sale of gold
they help to manage the Exchange Stabilization Fund
they work closely with JPMorgan, Citibank, and GoldmanSachs

yes, their goal is always a stable currency, dollar
I really wonder how comfortable they were with a steadily rising USdollar for a full decade almost

they make fresh new TBonds that live in computers
few ever become real nice crisp security certificates
when the Fed releases new Liquidity, it does so in the form of computer entries available to member regional banks

I suspect that much of Fort Knox was shipped to NYCity
where it was leased and sold to support the dollar
for years and years
this scam is the essence of the Gold Cartel that I have referred to since March

rational?
it is all about control, domination, attracting foreign capital to finance both our federal debt and current account deficits (trade gap)

the USA is unique in that we have a huge fed debt and huge trade gap
we would fold inside two years without a steady inflow of foreign capital
that is exactly why I believe our TBond interest rates will rise
we will have trouble attracting that capital in coming months
and coming quarters
