Lorne - Interesting link. For the most part his outline of the history of the region is accurate, at least in as much as it agrees with other things I've read, though his bias is quite evident. As one example of the bias, his blanket statements about the motivations of Europeans are not facts, but opinions. One thing he doesn't mention is that in the Bible, the term "Israel" was used to refer to the jews as a people. It was not the name of a place. I haven't seen much writing about this situation that isn't biased, though. He's no worse than most. - Allen
