It's a very long article to say, basically, that they don't know. I think it's important, though, because the conventional wisdom is being questioned in a prestigious publication. Saying "we don't know" about the mainstream approach is a big deal. I doubt there will be a definitive determination on any of this in our lifetimes.

A few months ago I read in Men's Health that something in pork fat is heart healthy. I also read in the paper where the more eggs you eat the better your #s.

Yes, that was the most startling. I once read an article listing all the things we assume, medical, health-related things, for which there are no studies, no proof.

But I disagree that we won't be hearing more about it. I think we'll hear a lot about it.

N has always remarked how peculiar it is that steak is supposed to be so bad for you, but when you have a big juicy steak for dinner, you feel great, as though you could conquer the world.
