Jim, they tried, but I am the type that cannot be bullied.
Came from England, played rugby, spoke funny....bully meat....until they pushed and got beaten for their trouble.
UK schools are a lot tougher than Canadian schools...at least they were in 1948. I do not bother other people, but I was too tough for them to pick on and get away with it unhurt. So they chose easier people.
Of course I lost the accent as fast as possible.
Funny aspect, I spoke British at home and Canadian at school. Just like a kid who speaks Polish to his parents and Canadian at school. Funnily enough if I spoke to Canadian friends on the phone and stopped to speak to my parents, my friends asked me who that was with the funny accent.
It was school yard adaptibility.

As for intel, look at how the mighty have fallen, they have burned billions on profits to squash AMD and AMD is not squashed yet.
